Description

Harper Lee's Pulitzer prize-winning masterwork of honor and injustice in the deep south—and the heroism of one man in the face of blind and violent hatred, available now for the first time as an e-book.

One of the best-loved stories of all time, To Kill a Mockingbird has been translated into more than forty languages, sold more than thirty million copies worldwide, served as the basis for an enormously popular motion picture, and was voted one of the best novels of the twentieth century by librarians across the country. A gripping, heart-wrenching, and wholly remarkable tale of coming-of-age in a South poisoned by virulent prejudice, it views a world of great beauty and savage inequities through the eyes of a young girl, as her father-a crusading local lawyer-risks everything to defend a black man unjustly accused of a terrible crime.

Read Mockingbird again on a recent airplane flight and it's still one of the best stories of all time. Great for almost any age.

This has to be the twentieth time I have read this book. It just never gets old. The lessons learned from it are endless and lessons that will never be solved. We all go thru them and all learn from them. Hopefully what we learn will make this world a better and kinder place to live.

I am a 17 year old girl. I've read this book 4 times. The first time was in the seventh grade. This book changed the way I looked at people. I've grown up with my family being strict and it opened my eyes to people. I hated books and this one made me love to read. Every time you read it you learn something new because there are so many things that are important. If you haven't read this book I highly recommend it. It's truly amazing.
