Description

Sweet with Heat: Seaside Summers features a group of fun, flirty, and emotional friends who gather each summer at their Cape Cod cottages. They’re sassy, flawed, and so easy to relate to, you’ll be begging to enter their circle of friends!

Read, Write, Love at Seaside by Addison Cole is the sweet edition of New York Times bestselling author Melissa Foster’s steamy romance novel Read, Write, Love. The stories and characters remain the same, and convey all of the passion you expect between two people in love, without any explicit scenes or harsh language.

In READ, WRITE, LOVE at SEASIDE...
Bestselling author Kurt Remington lives to write. He spends twelve hours a day in front of his computer, rarely leaving the seclusion of his beach-front property, where he’s come to finish his latest thriller — that is, until free-spirited Leanna Bray nearly drowns in the ocean trying to save her dog. Kurt’s best-laid plans are shot to hell when he comes to their rescue. Kurt’s as irritated as he is intrigued by the sexy, hot mess of a woman who lives life on a whim, forgets everything, and doesn’t even know the definition of the word organized.

Leanna’s come to the Cape hoping to find a fulfilling career in the jam-making business, and until she figures out her own life, a man is not on the menu. But Leanna can’t get the six-two, deliciously muscled and tragically neat Kurt out of her mind. She tells herself she’s just stopping by to say thank you, but the heart-warming afternoon sparks an emotional and unexpectedly sweet ride as Kurt and Leanna test the powers of Chemistry 101: Opposites Attract.

I loved this book! Hugh the staid, stuck in a rut, "neat nick" Author and the flighty, "what shall I do?", free spirit and not overly modest make a perfect pair! Opposites attract, right? It takes him a little while to realize he likes having her around and she thinks he can't be interested in her but, they sort things out. They find that they fill the holes in their personalities with the other one! A very lovely book which peels back each of their layers and you can see them begin to grow! The characters are terrific and also, her friends characters and of course, we can not forget Pepper, an all white dog, how Leanna came up with that name! The book was humorous (laugh out loud), and a few sad tears but, the rest were happy. I would definitely suggest getting this book and your day will be happier! I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader Copy and gave an honest review.

Bestselling Author Melissa Foster has tweaked some of her steamy books into a milder, sweet edition under her new alter ego Addison Cole. This one is the milder version of Melissa's original READ, WRITE, LOVE novel. It's a sexy, sweet connection and brings an exciting summer fling to life! Great characters & a really fun story! Bestselling author Kurt Remington lives a strict and regimented life. His writing is what he lives and breathes for, and he doesn't let anything get in it's way. He's spending the summer at his cottage in Wellfleet, Massachusetts finishing up his current novel when he's introduced to the whirlwind that is Leanna Bray in a wild and unpredictable way! Leanna Bray kind of lives life by the seat of her pants! She flits from one place and one job to another trying to find what fulfills her in life and her current foray is a jam and jellies business! She stumbles upon Kurt and her wild and free attitude intrigues him. He shouldn't want this type of disruption ... but want her he does! Will a summer fling be just what they both need or will she be too much a distraction to him? And when they consider the future, what does it look like for her?
  • Highly recommend this sweet romance.

Wow, what a sweet romance this is! Kurt Remington is swoon worthy, organized and a writer. Leanna Bray is cute, searching for a career and doesn't plan a thing. But a chance meeting between the two leads to a whirlwind romance. I loved these characters. Each has their own quirks but the relationship unfolds as they learn more about themselves and each other. I love the innocence of this Addison Cole romance.

This is the first book I have read by Addison Cole and I really enjoyed it. It was a great book to read to start my summer reading season as it is set in the small beach town of Wellfleet. Kurt Remington is an author who writes dark, suspenseful mysteries. He lives in New York but likes to spend time on the Cape during the summer for a change of pace. He is very detail oriented and has a set daily schedule for his writing and his life is neat and orderly. His writing is interrupted one day by a beautiful woman chasing after her dog in the waves and the surf. He tries to ignore them but is intrigued by Leanna and comes to her rescue. Leanna Bray is the antithesis of Kurt… she is flighty, forgetful, unorganized and full of life. Leanna freely admits that one of her “biggest skills is being discontent.” She is spending the summer trying to decide how to get her jam making business off the ground. She lives her life loud and large and Kurt is drawn in by her spell. Their attraction grows as they spend time together and Kurt begins to loosen up while Leanna draws on his strengths to try to bring some order into her life. They are a fun couple together and I enjoyed watching their relationship grow stronger. Neither was looking for love but love found them! I am definitely looking forward to reading more from this author.

All the passion without all the details. That's what you get when you read the "sweet" version of the Seaside Summers stories. These are the same stories published by Melissa Foster but for those of us that prefer less detail of the sexy times. Same great writing, same great characters. This is Kurt and Leanna's story. Kurt is a writer that has come to the Cape to get away and finish up his latest novel. Leanna is on the Cape trying to get her jam making business off the ground. She's flounder for years trying to find a career she enjoys and she finally feels like she's found what she's been looking for. Neither of them have time for romance but sometimes you just have to follow your heart. I highly recommend this one.
